The framework does not require belief in any deity and is compatible with any spiritual tradition or none. Reading civilizational history through the Yuga calendar no more requires Hindu religion than reading economic history through Marx requires Marxism.

Because the calendar is astronomical, not religious. Sri Yukteswar's 1894 restoration corrects a single mathematical error introduced around 700 BCE that had inflated the cycle to 4.32 million years.

The error was specific and mechanical. Ancient Vedic texts described Yuga durations using "divine years," where one divine year equals 360 human years. Medieval scholars working during deep Kali Yuga conditions (low intellectual capacity phase of the cycle) treated these already-converted divine-year figures as if they required conversion again, multiplying by 360 a second time. The original 1,200-year Kali Yuga became 432,000 years. The error compounded across the conventional calendar.

Sri Yukteswar's restoration in The Holy Science (1894) demonstrated this mathematically and cross-referenced the restored cycle against the precession of the equinoxes — the slow rotation of Earth's axis that takes approximately 24,000 years to complete one full circle. Most contemporary Hindu commentary still uses the inflated 4.32-million-year calendar, which places us deep in Kali Yuga. Sri Yukteswar's 1894 restoration disagrees, and the empirical record — scientific revolution beginning ~1700, industrial revolution, electricity, computation, and now AI — fits Dwapara's structural signature ("comprehension of finer forces, annihilation of distance, matter-as-energy") rather than Kali's.

The Bhog → Daan → Naash master cycle requires Daan (gift-circulation back to the substrates that made the abundance possible) for the cycle to complete in form rather than dissolve into Naash. What is currently visible across mental health, opioids, birth rates, loneliness, and political confusion is the Naash signature of Bhog without Daan.

Laurie Pratt (Tara Mata, 1900–1971) was the American Kriya Yoga disciple who edited Autobiography of a Yogi and preserved Sri Yukteswar's The Holy Science for the modern age.

Ascending Dwapara Yuga intensifies pranic flow through every human nervous system simultaneously. Each generation receives more bandwidth than the one before. Children born after roughly 2000 are operating at the highest pranic current available to human nervous systems in twelve hundred years.

The institutional containers — schools designed for L1–L3 sequential transmission, classrooms requiring sustained sitting, teaching methods optimized for one cognitive doorway when the framework names eight distinct cognitive architectures — were built for nervous systems running at the previous frequency. The mismatch is structural.

What gets diagnosed as ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing disorder, or "highly sensitive child" is often the visible signature of this mismatch rather than pathology in the child. The framework's reading is not that medication is always wrong or that diagnoses are always misapplied — clinical judgment matters and serious conditions exist.
