Yuga युग

A division of the precessional cycle. Each 12,000-year arc contains four Yugas — Satya (4,800 years), Treta (3,600), Dwapara (2,400), Kali (1,200) — corresponding to Greek Golden, Silver, Bronze, and Iron Ages. See: The Hidden Calendar

Ascending Dwapara Yuga आरोही द्वापर युग

The Bronze Age of the upward arc; began 1698 CE; humanity is currently in year 328 of this 2,400-year cycle. Conquers the Maya of Space — annihilation of distance, matter recognized as energy. See: Canon Claim 1

Bhog-Daan-Naash भोग-दान-नाश

The framework's master cycle. Bhog = consumption-abundance phase. Daan = gift-circulation phase. Naash = dissolution phase. Bhog without Daan produces Naash. The cycle completes whether participants understand it or not. See: Piece 2 — Post-WWII America · Canon §4

Anchor

The civilizational organ India / South Asia performs. Function: Receive → Preserve → Refine → Transmit consciousness technology across millennia. The gravitational center that does not move while everything else moves. See: Anchor profile · The Anchor That Holds

Experimenter

The civilizational organ America performs. Function: Attract → Space → Protect → Deploy → Restart on Rahu's 30–40-year cycle. The Universal Magnet that calls the world's builders in. See: Experimenter profile

Perfectionist

The civilizational organ East Asia (China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan) performs. Function: Receive → Refine → Scale → Retain on the Saturn-Kubera operating system. See: Perfectionist profile

Tie-Breaker

The civilizational organ Russia performs. Function: Position → Absorb → Transform → Cast on 70–80-year self-destruction rhythms. The Neelkanth that absorbs what other organs cannot stomach. See: Tie-Breaker profile

Persian Bridge

The civilizational organ Iran performs. Function: Gather → Translate → Carry → Release across the Silk Road land corridor. Pre-Islamic Vedic-Zoroastrian sibling thread to the Anchor. See: Persian Bridge profile

Diasporic Bridge

The civilizational organ the Jewish diaspora performs. Function: Carry → Remember → Translate → Reseed across two millennia of dispersion. See: Diasporic Bridge profile

Source / Storehouse

The civilizational organ Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Indigenous civilizations perform. Function: Root → Sustain → Yield → Voice through distributed body-knowledge formats. See: Storehouse profile

Consumer

The civilizational organ Europe performs. Function: Receive → Organize → Standardize → Export through institutional architecture. The Vayu regulator function — air-element capacity to circulate, regulate, and distribute through institutional architecture. See: Two Substrates Returning

Nalanda Principle

Concentration is vulnerable; distribution is indestructible. What is held distributed across body, song, ceremony, household, and direct relationship survives political-template attempts to erase it. Named for the burning of Nalanda University in 1193 — the library was concentrated and destroyed; the parampara was distributed and survived. See: Piece 5 — The Anchor That Holds · Canon Claim 41

Magnet vs Empire

The framework's structural distinction between America's gift mode (Magnet — institutional protection for builders) and shadow mode (Empire — institutional infrastructure as leverage). Both are real; both occur. Ascending Dwapara dissolves Empire to make room for Magnet to return. See: Experimenter profile

L4–L5 Service-Healing

The consciousness layer (L4 — self-awareness beyond ego) and cosmic-relational layer (L5 — integrated cosmic consciousness) that AI cannot commoditize because they require body-presence, lineage-transmission, place-anchored practice. The Five Layers (L1–L5)

The framework's reading of the human instrument as five-layered: L1 Material (the body — food, shelter, physical safety, and the cognitive substrate that supports physical existence: logistics, scheduling, inventory, record-keeping). L2 Vital-Energetic (prana in the Vedic vocabulary, qi in the Chinese, pneuma in the Greek — embodied vitality, hormonal-emotional regulation, the drive to act at all). L3 Intellectual (information processing — analytical reasoning, pattern recognition, language manipulation; AI's native operating layer, performed at superhuman throughput and near-zero marginal cost). L4 Integrative-Conscious and L5 Cosmic-Relational are the layers AI cannot reach. AI Consumer vs AI Participant

Two stances toward AI in learning. The Consumer receives work the machine produced — grades rise, understanding falls, and every new model makes the student more replaceable. The Participant uses AI to amplify thinking that is structurally their own — and every new model makes them more capable. The distinction has been measured: in a preregistered trial of ~1,000 students, an unguarded chatbot raised practice scores 48% and lowered unaided exam scores 17%, while a guardrailed version erased the deficit (Bastani et al., PNAS, 2025). The Performance–Learning Gap

Conditions that raise performance during practice frequently lower learning measured later without support. In a randomized crossover at Harvard, active learning lowered how much students felt they had learned by 0.56 SD while raising how much they actually learned by 0.46 SD (Deslauriers et al., 2019), mediated by perceived fluency. It is why a parent cannot detect AI over-reliance by watching the work go well — the signal they have access to is the one that has been corrupted. See: AI Participant, Not Consumer

Misconception-Coded Assessment

A design in which every wrong answer option is tied to a named, registered way of misunderstanding the concept, and each name maps to a hint describing that error rather than the solution. It converts a wrong answer from a score into a diagnosis. In JyoLing Academy these are the MC_* codes, governed by a portability rule: a hint that only makes sense on the item it was written for will, on another item carrying the same code, walk the student into a distractor — teaching the error it was meant to diagnose. Vigata-jvaraḥ विगतज्वरः

"With the fever departed" — the closing word of Bhagavad Gita 3.30, and the most physical term in the verse. Jvara is the heat of illness; it is used here for the agitation that attaches to wanting a particular outcome. The verse does not ask for less effort — its central imperative is yudhyasva, fight. It asks for the same effort without the heat around it. The framework reads this as a claim about the conditions of good action, and one that experimental work largely supports: the largest incentives produced the worst performance on cognitively demanding tasks, and uncontrollability degrades creative output monotonically. The Construction Gap

The distance between having the knowledge a domain requires and being able to build something new with it. Accumulated deliberate practice closes the first gap and barely touches the second: across 88 studies it explained 26% of performance variance in games and under 1% in professions (Macnamara, Hambrick & Oswald, 2014). The framework's reading is that domain knowledge was never the differentiator in open domains — it was the floor, and AI is lowering it. See: Raising for the Upgrade

Scaffolded Experimentation

Exploration carried inside a structure — worked examples available, feedback close to the attempt, explanations elicited rather than assumed, difficulty escalating with capability. The distinction is not decorative: across 164 studies, unassisted discovery underperformed explicit instruction at d = −0.38 while enhanced or scaffolded discovery outperformed other instruction at d = +0.30 (Alfieri et al., 2011). Adrenarche

The onset of adrenal androgen secretion — principally DHEA — beginning around ages 6 to 8, years before puberty proper and separate from it. It barely alters physical appearance but acts substantially on the brain. It is why developmental scientists treat middle childhood as a distinct stage rather than a waiting room, and why the framework's 8–13 window is a biological marker rather than an arbitrary bracket. Mars Mahadasha मङ्गल महादशा

In Vedic astrology, the seven-year planetary period of Mars rulership. India entered its Mars Mahadasha in September 2025 — the cycle phase in which the Anchor begins to act on its own behalf rather than primarily react to external pressure. See: Piece 5 — The Anchor That Holds

Tang Flowering

The 7th–9th century CE Chinese civilizational peak that integrated Buddhist consciousness technology from India through six centuries of absorption. The framework reads contemporary China as in early Phase 2 of a parallel arc that will eventually produce a contemporary Tang flowering. See: Piece 4 — China Returning to Itself

Bodhidharma Corridor

The historical transmission line by which Indian Buddhism reached East Asia in the 5th–6th centuries CE, named for the monk Bodhidharma. The framework reads the corridor as structurally reactivating in the contemporary period. See: Piece 4 — China Returning to Itself

Tolstoy-Gandhi Corridor

The transmission of the Bhagavad Gita from India to Russia (Tolstoy's reading, late 19th century) to South Africa (Gandhi reading Tolstoy's The Kingdom of God Is Within You) to America (Martin Luther King Jr. reading Gandhi at Crozer Theological Seminary, 1950s). The framework's deepest demonstration that the seven organs operate as a connected system. See: Anchor profile

Brahmasthana ब्रह्मस्थान

In Vedic mapping of directions, the navel point — the gravitational pole where all directions converge. India is read as the Brahmasthana of the planetary map. See: Piece 5 — The Anchor That Holds

Parampara परम्परा

Direct teacher-to-student transmission line. The mechanism by which Indian consciousness technology survived twenty invasions across two thousand years — concentration is vulnerable, parampara is distributed. See: Anchor profile

Pilgrim Substrate

The American cultural substrate shaped by ancestral memory of fleeing institutional religious control. Produces structural immunity to controlled-church and digital-dependency control architectures, creating the cultural opening through which dharmic teachings entered America across the past century. Ego-Then-Process Arc

The structural pattern by which a self-effort-organized civilization eventually exhausts the limits of self-effort and integrates received wisdom from outside the operating system. Phase 1 (self-effort), Phase 2 (exhaustion), Phase 3 (integration). China is currently in Phase 2. See: Piece 4 — China Returning to Itself

Kriya Yoga क्रिया योग

The pranayama-based meditation lineage transmitted through Mahavatar Babaji → Lahiri Mahasaya → Sri Yukteswar → Paramahansa Yogananda → Tara Mata. The framework's foundational chronology reached the modern West through this lineage. See: Tara Mata page

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्

Sanskrit: "the world is one family." Articulated in Indian diplomatic doctrine and inscribed in the Indian Parliament. Operational expression of the Anchor's pluralistic operating system. See: Piece 5 — The Anchor That Holds

Three Bodies त्रि शरीर

The Vedic anatomy of consciousness: gross body (sthula sharira, L1–L3), subtle body (sukshma sharira, L4), causal body (karana sharira, L5). The framework treats civilizational organs as the planetary-scale equivalent of the three-body model. See the YATU book, launching June 5, 2026

Mandir मन्दिर

Sanskrit: "place where the mind dwells." Encodes inward residence of consciousness. Etymologically distinct from Latin templum ("to cut, to mark off"), which encodes territorial enclosure. The framework reads the mandir / templum split as a structural signature of the cycle phase that produced each linguistic substrate — ascending consciousness work indoors versus descending territorial demarcation. Annapurna अन्नपूर्णा

Sanskrit: "she who is full of food." The structural function of food and energy provider. The framework reads India's geopolitical role across the post-2026 Middle East and the broader Indian Ocean as an annapurna function — provisioning grain, energy, pharmaceuticals, and labor at scales that other organs cannot match. Velayat-e-Faqih ولاية الفقيه

Persian / Arabic: "Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist." The political-theological doctrine, articulated by Ayatollah Khomeini, in which an unelected Supreme Leader holds final authority over an Islamic state. The framework reads the doctrine as a descending-Kali architecture — cleric-rule produced by the same cycle phase that produced cleric-rule in late-medieval Christendom. Cyrus–Isaiah Connection

The historical convergence in which Cyrus the Great (Achaemenid Persia, 6th century BCE) liberated the Jewish exiles from Babylon and authorized the rebuilding of the Second Temple in Jerusalem — a moment recorded in Isaiah 45:1, where Cyrus is named "Yahweh's anointed." The framework reads the connection as the foundational structural moment of the Iran–Israel substrate relationship: Persian Bridge and Diasporic Bridge as paired organs whose underlying linkage is older than the descending-arc enmity that obscured it. Bridge Organs Reactivation

The cycle's structural mechanism by which the Bridge organs — Persian Bridge (Iran), Diasporic Bridge (Jewish, Indian, Chinese diasporas), and the older substrate bridges of Central Asia — return to their reconnective function as ascending Dwapara reactivates the linguistic, culinary, and trade substrate that descending-arc politics suppressed. Inside-out upliftment

Upliftment that changes a person's own capacity to perceive, judge and act (the L4–L5 layers) and lets that person reshape their conditions. It cannot be delivered at scale or switched off, because no one outside holds the switch. Outside-in upliftment

Upliftment that changes the conditions around a person (a system, policy, credential, benefit or ideology) and expects the person to follow. Deliverable at scale and switchable at scale. The shared assumption of institutional programmes, their critics and conspiracy readings alike. Canon #149. Developed →

Dharma-based upliftment

Upliftment that grows a person's own capability, judgment and standing, carried by the people around them, so that it still exists if the system switches off. Contrast system-based upliftment: a benefit, credential or service delivered through infrastructure someone else owns, which lasts only while the switch stays on and the algorithm stays right. Controlled state

The condition any society reaches when its organizing principle is control of the outside world. Diagnosed for the industrial West by Horkheimer and Adorno in Dialectic of Enlightenment (1944) and reached in its most capable form by interoperable digital infrastructure. The digital stack

Identity → payments → data exchange → services → AI: the layers UNDP and the UN Global Digital Compact describe as digital public infrastructure and ask to interoperate. Each layer can act on the one below it; read from the top, one decision can switch off identity, money, records and services at once. Developed →

The last fortress

Framework reading: the interoperable stack as the descending age's final attempt to secure worth, identity and safety outside the person, after the external forms read in The Last War of the Descending Age exhaust. The exit principle

A system that claims to serve the human must preserve the human's ability to exist independently of it: the ability to participate, to question, and to leave. A system offering the first two while removing the third is a dependency architecture, however well it performs. Developed →

The citizen test

Eight questions to run on any government, corporation or technology before and after it arrives: capability or only convenience; ownership; privacy; consent withdrawal; challenge; exit; fallback if it fails; whether the AI works for me or I organize my life around what it permits. Resolving to one: did it make the human more capable, or only the system more capable of managing the human? Developed →

Participant, not consumer

Began on this site as an argument about children and AI homework; the principle for the whole society. A consumer receives the output, rents, lets the system decide, loses the skill and cannot leave. A participant creates with the tool and checks it, owns what matters, keeps the skill alive, decides and can explain why, and can leave. Developed →

Swaraj स्वराज

Self-rule. Gandhi, Hind Swaraj (1909): "It is Swaraj when we learn to rule ourselves. It is, therefore, in the palm of our hands." A nation able to set its own direction, and a person able to rule themselves; the second is the condition of the first. Developed →

Gram Swaraj ग्राम स्वराज

Village self-rule, pictured by Gandhi (Harijan, 28 July 1946) as an oceanic circle with the individual at the centre and "ever widening, never ascending circles" around them, against a pyramid "with the apex sustained by the bottom." Atma-Swaraj आत्म-स्वराज

YATU's synthesis, not Gandhi's phrase, though he came closest himself: "Servitude is of two kinds: slavery to domination from outside and to one's own artificial needs" (Harijan, 10 March 1946). The circle beneath Gram Swaraj, rule over one's own attention, desire, fear, judgment and action. Swaraj without Gram Swaraj replaces one distant ruler with a distant system; Gram Swaraj without Atma-Swaraj decentralises power without transforming the person who uses it; Atma-Swaraj completes the architecture. Gandhi's Basic Education (Wardha, 1937): "an all-round drawing out of the best in child and man — body, mind and spirit," with productive craft as the medium of the whole curriculum, taught "scientifically, i.e., the child should know the why and the wherefore of every process," aiming at an education that "makes the nation independent of the search for employment." The craze for machinery

Gandhi, Young India, 13 November 1924: "What I object to is the craze for machinery, not machinery as such… The supreme consideration is man. Mahavatar Babaji महावतार बाबाजी

The deathless yogi-master at the head of the Kriya Yoga lineage. Reactivated Kriya Yoga's transmission to the modern world by initiating Lahiri Mahasaya in 1861 in the Himalayas. Source of the 1894 instruction to Sri Yukteswar to write The Holy Science and restore the Yuga calendar — the act that re-anchored civilizational chronology in modern times. See: Tara Mata page

Lahiri Mahasaya श्यामाचरण लाहिड़ी

Householder yogi (1828–1895) who received Kriya Yoga from Mahavatar Babaji in 1861 and made the lineage available to lay practitioners outside monastic orders for the first time. Sri Yukteswar's guru. The householder revolutionary who proved that consciousness technology was operational outside renunciate life — a structural shift that made Anchor transmission to the modern world possible. Tara Mata

American Kriya Yoga disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. Born Laurie Pratt; received the dharmic name Tara Mata. Edited Autobiography of a Yogi and transmitted Sri Yukteswar's Yuga calendar to the West in Astrological World Cycles (East-West magazine, 1932–33). Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF)

Spiritual organization founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in Los Angeles in 1920 as the institutional carrier of the Kriya Yoga lineage in the West. The first sustained transmission infrastructure through which Anchor consciousness technology entered America at scale — preceding Vedanta Society, Zen centers, Tibetan Buddhist centers, and contemporary contemplative networks by decades.
